How much do motorized shades cost?
Motorization typically adds a per-window premium over the same shade in manual — the motor, power option and control method set the price. Because we manufacture locally and install with our own team, your exact quote is free at the in-home consultation, and we routinely beat big-brand pricing.
Can my existing shades or curtains be motorized?
Often, yes — many rollers and drapery tracks can be retrofitted with new motors, and where retrofit isn't practical we can rebuild the treatment around motorization while keeping your fabric look.
Do I need an electrician?
Not for most retrofits — rechargeable and battery motors need no wiring at all. For new construction or a fully wired system, we coordinate the rough-in directly with your GC or electrician.
Which smart-home systems do you work with?
We install Lutron, Somfy and Coulisse motors and integrate with Control4, Savant, Amazon Google Home — from one room to whole-home scenes, programmed and tested by our installers before we leave.
What happens in a power outage?
Battery and rechargeable motors keep working normally. Wired systems pause and resume with power — and your shades stay exactly where they were, no reprogramming needed.
Are motorized treatments safe for kids and pets?
They're our favorite answer to child safety — no cords at all. Motorized is the standard we recommend for homes with young children and pets.
Do you work in condo buildings?
Yes — condo and high-rise work is daily business for us. We provide the Certificate of Insurance building management requires, use white-backed fabrics that satisfy association rules, and schedule installation around your building's elevator and work-hour policies — from a single unit to entire towers.
